Sunday: From the historic village of Porlock we will head down country lanes with hedgerows full of flowers to reach the idyllic coastal village of Bossington with its period cottages, tall chimneys and bread ovens. A walk through the tiny settlement of Lynch and across the fields and through dappled woodland brings us into the National Trust village of Allerford where we cross over the iconic packhorse bridge beside the ford. A wooded climb across the hillside brings us out onto Selworthy Beacon - the highpoint for the day - with its carpets of purple heather and stunning views across Exmoor and out to sea. A scenic descent brings us into the village of Selworthy Green with its white-washed church, thatched cottages, and the inviting Periwinkle tearoom, where we will pause for refreshment before following the Coleridge Way back into Porlock.

The distance for the day is 10 miles (16kms)
