Dales Way

Cumbria Tourist Board

The Dales Way passes through 83 miles (134kms) of the most attractive scenery that the north of England has to offer. The route runs from Ilkley in the Yorkshire Dales, through Wharfedale and Dentdale to the shores of Windermere in the Lake District. Points of interest along the way include Bolton Abbey, The Strid, Grassington, Kilnsey Crag, Cam Fell, the cobbled streets of Dent, the attractive town of Sedbergh (our base for this tour) and the Crook of Lune. The limestone scenery, attractive Dales villages, abundant birdlife and the ever changing character of the river makes this a fascinating walk.
