What happens if I have to cancel my place on a tour?
Cancellations should be made in writing and are effective from the date received in this office. For cancellation received more than 35 days before the commencement of a Daypack Hike the deposit will be forfeit. For cancellations received between 35 and 15 days before the commencement of the tour, 50% of the tour cost will be refunded.
Cancellations received 14 days or less before the starting date of the tour, or during the tour, will not be eligible for a refund.
These cancellation fees are implemented in all cases, so we recommend that you are fully covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy; this will save you the embarrassment of asking us to waive cancellation fees and Footpath Holidays the embarrassment of having to say no.
Please see our Travel & Holiday Insurance Information for details of the type of policy which would be suitable.
