Weavers’ Way

5 days walking, based in Cromer

Our tour base

The Weavers’ Way is a 56 mile (90 km) walk from Cromer to Great Yarmouth and the name of the route recalls the once important weaving industry which flourished in the area. As it leaves Cromer the route crosses the National Trust estates of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall before passing through the countryside around Aylsham and North Walsham.

At Hickling the rich farmland gives way to the unique wetlands of the Norfolk Broads and the walk passes through the wild and beautiful scenery of Hickling Broad, Halvergate Marshes and Breydon Water.

The route visits the interesting market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham, as well as the attractive villages of Acle, Aldborough, Hickling and Potter Heigham.

A relaxed pace will allow time to enjoy the wealth of birdlife, butterflies and wild flowers which we will undoubtedly encounter in the wetland nature reserves and meadows.
