In the West Country we have groups in Far West Cornwall , North Cornwall , Exmoor National Park and the Dorset Coast .

Moving nearer the Midlands we have groups in the Cotswolds , with more northerly walking holiday options in the Lake District National Park , Yorkshire's Northern Dales and Limestone Dales and in Hadrian's Wall Country .

In Wales we offer tours in the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast National Park while in Scotland there is the opportunity for a tour in the Tweed Valley and Scottish Borders .

What happens if I have to cancel my place on a tour?

All cancellations must be in writing and are effective from the date received in this office. For a cancellation received more than 56 days before a tour commences the deposit will be forfeit, whilst any other payment towards the cost of the tour will be refunded. For later cancellations the deposit will be forfeit, but any other payment towards the cost of the tour will be refunded less the following charges:

• 56 - 43 days before the start - 25% of the tour cost
• 42 - 29 days before the start - 50% of the tour cost
• 28 - 15 days before the start - 75% of the tour cost

You will notice that we have recommended using a London airport for tours in the north east of England. This is because the rail service from London to Yorkshire and Hadrian's Wall Country is exceptionally frequent and fast.

Although we have mentioned the most convenient airport against each destination one of the London airports could be used as the port of entry for any of the tours, so the journey time from London to the closest railway station for all tours have been included in the list of typical journey times .

The journey times quoted on this page are for a typical train journey between the mainline railway station nearest to the recommended airport (central London stations in the case of Heathrow or Gatwick Airports) and the mainline railway station closest to the hotel at which the tour is based. Where there is a change of train en route waiting times may vary so allowance should be made for this when planning your journey.
