What sort of accommodation does Footpath Holidays use?

Footpath Holidays always puts a considerable amount of time and effort into finding high quality accommodation in the finest locations, and right in the midst of the walking. Our priorities are a warm welcome, comfortable and well appointed rooms.

Our prices are based on two guests sharing a twin or double-bedded room, however, we can cater for single travellers, subject to a supplement.

Dinner, bed and breakfast option

All of the accommodation which we use for the self-guided half-board option is in comfortable country house or small hotels. All rooms are fully ensuite with private facilities (toilet, bath and/or shower), television, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. All meals are taken in the hotel’s own restaurant, and you can expect a high standard of cuisine and service. A description of each hotel that we use appears on the relevant tour page.

All the hotels which we use have been inspected under the nationally recognised standards scheme, and their respective grading appears in the individual hotel description. If you would like to know more about a particular hotel you will find a link through to their own website from our hotel description.

Bed and breakfast option

For the self-guided bed and breakfast option we use quality family-run guest houses. All rooms have private facilities (toilet, bath and/or shower) and tea and coffee making facilities. The establishment chosen will depend upon availability and the size and make up of the group involved.
