What information will be provided regarding the walks (hikes)?
When we acknowledge your booking we will send you an outline itinerary of the walks which feature on your chosen tour. Three weeks prior to commencement of the tour (or immediately if your booking is made at short notice) we will send you a pack containing the relevent maps, a set of laminated route description cards, and general information on the area which you will be visiting.
The route description cards will detail the directions to take to complete the walk, provide information regarding places of interest along the route, tell you where you can find refreshments, toilets and telephone boxes, and give you a reminder of where and at what time you will be picked up by your return transport.
Although the route description cards are quite comprehensive you should still pay attention to your map, just in case you need to detour from the suggested route in the event of the unexpected, or decide to explore something of interest away from the main route.
