Today we have added a new destination to our wide portfolio of centre-based self-guided walking holidays; the Dartmoor National Park. Dartmoor is an area with which we have a particular affinity as Ian grew up in the Tamar Valley on the western edge of the moor.

We have just launched a great new Single Centre Self-guided holiday - The Ancient Landscapes of Wessex. The new itinerary is based in Devizes in Wiltshire and explores the timeless rolling landscape of Salisbury Plain and the North Wessex Downs and the many Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age sites, which abound in the area. Highlights include the stone circles at Stonehenge and Avebury (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the wonderful Bronze Age white horse cut into the chalk at Uffington, and the sweeping views from the Ridgeway - Britain's oldest trade route.
This month we added a new Cotswold walking tour to our family of 'Self Guided Paths and Trails'. It is designed to stand alongside the Cotswold Way and provide an alternative for those walkers who would like to see more of those 'picture perfect' honey coloured villages. The route still takes in some of those stretches of the Cotswold Way which provide such stunning views from the escarpment but also takes in some delightful meadows and woodlands which lead to some exceptionally beautiful and unspoilt villages. The best of both worlds!
Our route begins in Chipping Campden, the jewel of the Cotswolds and ends in historic Painswick with its wonderful church and ninety nine Yew trees. With visits to little known villages like Asthall, Minster Lovell, Bisley and Coln St Aldwyns this holiday will certainly show the best of the Cotswolds 'off the beaten track'. "Just a note to say that Nick and I loved every minute of our walk in Exmoor a few weeks ago…all sorts of wonderful memories but coming out of Withypool and over that stile ….the view was heart stopping. We will never forget it."
