Pembrokeshire Coast, North

Situated on the wild west coast of Wales, Britain’s only coastal National Park provides peaceful walking along a coastline characterised by rugged cliffs, craggy headlands and magnificent golden, sandy beaches. The rugged cliffs provide a home for a huge variety of sea birds and from the spring to the autumn the path is a blaze of colour with the myriad species of wild flowers which flourish in the mild south westerly breezes. Off-shore islands appear to float on the sparkling seas and rocky tors crown each headland.

Our seven night ‘Moderate’ itinerary covers a continuous stretch of coast from Strumble Head in the north to Newgale in the south, whilst the five night ‘Moderate’ tour runs from Aber Bach to Newgale.

Our seven night ‘Easy’ itinerary covers a continuous stretch of coast from Pwllderi in the north to Solva in the south, whilst the five night ‘Easy’ tour runs from Abercastle to Solva.

Guests on both tours will walk around St David’s Head; visit the charming villages of Abereiddy with its ‘Blue Lagoon’, and fjord-like Solva; marvel at the Carreg Sampson Neolithic burial chamber; and enjoy stunning views of the off-shore island wildlife havens of Ramsey and Skomer.

Accommodation
Unless you ask us to customise your trip, and choose alternative accommodation, your holiday on the Pembrokeshire Coast will be based at a comfortable family-run guest house close to the centre of St David’s, Britain’s smallest cathedral ‘city’. Your room will have ensuite bathroom facilities and you will have a choice of continental or full Welsh breakfast. St David’s has a range of restaurants and pubs serving meals in the evening.

If you prefer hotel accommodation we can arrange a room at the Twr y Felin Hotel in St Davids. Originally built as a windmill in 1806 Twr y Felin stands in an elevated situation on the outskirts of the city and enjoys far-reaching views along the peninsula and across to Ramsey Island. The hotel offers a range of rooms and suites, most with views and many with balconies, culminating in the Windmill Tower Suite which offers a 360º panorama. The additional cost for accommodation at Twr y Felin Hotel will depend upon the room type chosen and whether you wish to include evening meals in the hotel restaurant.
